 ENABLE INC. Sept. 2015

Becoming a DJ was a natural career for Christopher Haase. However, he needed the right personal care assistant for his business to flourish. When Enable matched Chris with Darick Cheston, it all came together.

"When Chris was little, he was always into music and lights when we had family parties. He liked helping the DJ," said his parents. Chris founded New Jersey DJ Services Inc. ins 2000. He was named the "Best Disc Jockey in the Area" by the Trenton Times in 2002 and later voted # 1 for music and performances for people with special needs. To date, Chris has DJ'd some 1,500 parties and events and over 100 weddings.

"My work is really important to me," said Chris. "When Darick and I joined up, it was one of the best things that happened. Darick helps me stay focused. I got my driver's license and have been able to accomplish a lot of my goals because we are a team together."

"I work with Chris seven days a week. I go everywhere with him," said Darick Cheston, Chris' Enable Direct Care Provider. "I love working with Enable because it's about the teamwork, making sure that Chris gets what he needs. He does amazing things, volunteering at soup kitchens and all sorts of non-profits. He joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary and just received a Life Saving Award for rescuing a child from the Delaware River. Of course, that's his second award. The first was for going 'above and beyond the call of duty!'" Darick celebrates five years of working with Enable this month.
